"Dancers" by Edgar Degas


This is a painting by Edgar Degas, a famous impressionist artist from France (1834-1917). He loved painting ballet dancers.
This picture shows a group of young dancers in class. 
There are many dancers and two men. One of them is the teacher and he is standing. The other man is sitting and looking at the lesson. The girls are dancing and practising ballet. They are wearing white dresses.
There is an empty chair in the foreground and a big mirror in the background.
I think this is a very nice painting. I love Ballet and I love Degas works.
