This is the story of a wolf pack who adopt a human child, Mowgli. He lived with the animals learning the law of the jungle. Akela was the oldest wolf and his father. Baloo was a bear and Mowgli´s teacher. Bagheera was a panther and his protector. Baloo was bigger than Bagueera. Shere Khan was his enemy and the strongest of the hunters, as well as the most dangerous animal, so he wanted to kill the boy.
Rudyard Kipling was The Jungle Book writer. He was from India but he lived in The UK. He was a famous English author of books for kids and a good poet. In 1907 Kipling was awarded the Nobel prize for literature.

Roald Dahl was the writer of this funny novel. He was born in Wales in 1916. His early life was difficult. His first children’s book, The Gremlins, was published in 1943. After he became a father, he started making up bedtime stories for his children. In 1961 he published James and the Giant Peach, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in 1964 and Matilda in 1988.
